Rich Lowry
Richard Lowry has been the editor of National Review since 1997. He joined the magazine's staff in 1992 after graduation from the University of Virginia, where he edited a conservative monthly magazine called the Virginia Advocate. In 1994, he moved to Washington, D.C. to cover Congress.
At 33, Rich Lowry is not what most people expect of the editor of National Review. Happily, Rich is consistently taking readers by sur-prise, delighting them with his enthusiasm for the precepts of American democracy.
The Washington Post has called him "the edgy voice of fresh-faced conservatism." He has worked as a reporter for a local paper in northern Virginia, and written for the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal, among other publications. He frequently appears as a guest commentator on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and The McLaughlin Group.
